“Mingary Care threw me a lifeline when I truly thought I was drowning. I don’t know what I would have done without them. Everything they did for me was so practical, they truly are living angels.”
Jane Brough
“The machine has made a whole lot of difference to my life and I don’t feel confined to my bedroom any longer. I am able to sit outside in the sun and leave the house, it has changed my life immensely. A goal I’m working towards is to spend some time in the shed with my tools. I am very grateful to Mingary Care for the support.”
Vincent Leary
“Mingary Care provide 100% care on every front! They couldn’t be better equipped to help someone who is in palliative care and at the end stage of their life. I can’t fault them.”
Robert Wells
“The Mingary Care team is amazing. They were so responsive and action was taken straight away. They are all so caring, I literally couldn’t fault anything. The care and the service were both absolutely excellent.”
Christine Lee
“Thank goodness for Mingary Care. With ACAT funding only coming through three weeks before my husband passed away, we needed a stopgap solution. They arranged for a cleaner and sent a nurse to our home for three days every week. One of the carers was a young girl, compassionate and mature beyond her years. My husband shared a love of music with her and they had many good talks and laughs. I was so grateful to have him cared for at home, which I couldn't have done without the help provided by these amazing people.”
Susan
“My father become very ill but was resistant to help. The hospital referred me to Mingary Care who has gone above and beyond to help us. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need. Their practical help in providing the right furniture and equipment to make caring for Dad easier and keeping on top of domestic duties so he can stay at home has been much appreciated.”
Michael
“Mingary Care has proven invaluable. They are so proactive and responsive and willing to help in urgent situations.
Aged care is not a crisis response system and many palliative patients don’t have time to wait.
Mingary Care steps in to make things happen. We would be lost without them and feel so fortunate to have them on the Sunshine Coast.”
Karly, Social Worker
“I am writing to say a very big thank you for providing the funding so that Lisa’s final wish could be fulfilled. I was Lisa’s escort for her last wish and to see the joy on her face, as well as her sons, was truly priceless. Mingary Care provided an amazing service. So once again, thank you.”
Therese, Clinical Nurse
The team at Mingary Care are incredibly compassionate and kind. Anything I needed, they facilitated with speed and efficiency, which took a huge load off my mind while my husband was being treated on the Sunshine Coast. My only wish would be is that there work - which is so valuable - could be available in every area. The Sunshine Coast community is very lucky to have their support.
Melanie
"As a community-based palliative care organisation, the support provided through Mingary Care funded services, into our clients’ homes, truly makes a difference. This is especially the case when clients have been unable to access other usual pathways of help and are unsure where to turn."
Jodie, Social Worker
“On behalf of our dear mother, Jennifer, my brother and I want to thank you so very much for funding the personal care she received in the last 4.5 weeks of her life. It brought dignity and quality of life into her days at home and we are eternally grateful for your generosity.”
